Glass is a great choice in sex toys for many reason and one is because it’s so easy to clean. Glass toys are made using an incredibly strong glass called Pyrex; this is the same glass you’ll find in labs and kitchens. The best way to clean your glass toys is with a bleach solution (10% bleach to water), the dishwasher, your favorite toy cleaner, or a mild soap and warm water.
Gold, Silver, aluminum, and stainless steel are nonporous sex toys so they’re very easy to clean. Clean them using a mild soap and water, a bleach/water solution (10% bleach to water) or boil them. Make sure your toys are completely dry before placing in storage.
Both rubber and jelly sex toys are very pours and can be a breading ground for bacteria. These toys are not recommend as they are not body-safe, therefore we don’t carry any here at Luxury Vibrators. If you have one that needs cleaning we would recommend using a cleaner specific to rubber or jelly toys. You can also use a mild soap, or toy cleaner, but ensure it air dries completely before put away.
Real skin sex toys can tear easily and are quite pores, making them a breading ground for bacteria. We don’t sell these toys at Luxury Vibrators as they are not body-safe. If you have a real skin sex toy that needs to be cleaned be sure to clean it thoroughly by getting in all the crevices. We would recommend a spray to clean toys such as these, as a spray will get in all the hard to reach places. Let the cleaner soak in for 3-5 minutes (reading package directions) before rinsing it off to ensure it really gets in there.
Once you’re finished cleaning and thoroughly drying your real skin toy sprinkle some organic corn starch on it for storage. This will prevent it from becoming sticky!
Acrylic toys are best cleaned with soap and water, or your favorite sex toy cleaner. Vinyl sex toys are not common, but if you have one clean it with mild soap and water or your favorite cleaner.
