Touch and Feel
The Tantus Beginner Gag Ball is firm, yet malleable. You can pull on the straps and the silicone with slightly flex. The silicone is smooth, non-pours and completely odorless and tasteless. The straps are made with a soft leather and are thin and strong. In addition they are supple and don’t dig into my head or ears.Â
Size and Fit
The straps are long and have a large velcro area so it will easily fit even the largest heads. It’s modelled after a child’s pacifier, so it fits comfortably in my mouth; even for long periods of time. I can easily breath, but can’t easily talk.Â
Using the Tantus Beginner Gag Ball
The Tantus Beginner Ball Gag was designed for beginners, however it’s a perfect size and shape for anyone looking for a gentle gag. It’s small in size so it won’t “gag” you like some people might be looking for. It’s soft to chew on and is extremely easy to get on and off quickly. However my big complaint with this gag is that the velcro comes undone at times, it also gets stuck in my hair. I would prefer if this gag had a clasp or buckle.
Cleaning
Like all Tantus silicone sex toys the gag can be boiled, bleached or put in the dishwasher. But if you’re like me you’ll wash it with simple soap and water.Â
Packaging
The gag comes in a clear plastic package. Tantus is known for their quality, silicone sex toys not their outstanding packaging. In short I wouldn’t choose a Tantus product if I was looking for luxurious packaging, but the product inside won’t disappoint.
Luxuriousness
There are a lot of great things going for this gag, it’s made with amazing quality silicone, the straps are a nice leather, it’s hygienic and super adjustable. I’ve bitten my gag pretty hard and haven’t left a mark. It’s not fancy, but I would definitely say it’s a quality item.
What does the Tantus Beginner Ball Gag Compare to?
The Fifty Shades of Grey Sweet Anticipation Ball Gag is a similar gag. It’s small in size, with a silicone ball and velcro straps. The Fifty Shades of Grey straps are made from faux leather, and have a nice floral design. In addition it will cost you an extra $8 over the cost of the Tantus gag.Â
The SportSheets Saffron Ball Gag is another similar gag, but this one has the added feature of a locking strap. It’s made with high-quality silicone so it’s safe for your mouth and body. It comes in $12 cheaper than the Tantus Gag.
My Final Thoughts: Sex Toy Review: Tantus Beginner GAG Ball
In conclusion I would recommend this to a friend. Not as a super luxurious gag, but as a quality, sex toy that will last years. The small size makes it easy to use and for extended periods of time. I love that it’s tasteless and odourless and made with body-safe materials. The only thing I would change are the velcro straps at the back.Â
