The We-Vibe Tango X mini vibe is an updated version of We-Vibes super popular pocket vibe the Tango. The biggest, most obvious change in the X is the silicone handle. This is unusual for pocket vibrators, most are solid plastic. It makes it slightly larger, but is still small enough to fit in my pocket. The original Tango has been a favorite of mine for years, so I was super excited to try this new one….and I can tell you it didn’t disappoint. Touch and Feel
The tip is made of a hard ABS plastic, and it’s perfect for applying firm pressure. The handle is covered in a soft, firm silicone and is easy to hold. It feels like a standard silicone toy in my hand, but has the added benefit of the super firm tip. The buttons are slightly raised so they are easy to change even when I’m not looking.
Power
This is a truly powerful little vibrator. It offers as much or even more power than many larger toys that I’ve tried. It will impress you, even on the first setting it roars! I would say it’s comparable to the Big Boss and Gigi 2 as far as power goes.
It comes with 8 intensity levels and 7 modes. Meaning you can choose from 8 levels of vibration strength and 7 patterns. The modes or patterns range from intermittent vibes, to a consistent rumble; We-Vibe calls these modes ~ pulse, wave, cha-cha, tease, tempo, heartbeat and vibrate. I’m boring and like the solid vibration, nothing fancy needed for this girl!Â
It does vibrate in my hand and up my arm, and with extended use that can be annoying. Although the silicone handle does help to reduce the hand vibration it is a bit distracting.Â
Noise Level of the Tango X Mini Vibe
You could easily use this toy with your door closed and your roommate right next door. Even at top power it’s very quiet. I was trying to think of something to compare it to, but couldn’t. I would say it’s definitely quieter than my electric toothbrush; if that helps?
Charging
It really couldn’t be any easier charging the Tango X. It comes with a magnetic USB charging cable. Plug the cable into the wall and magnetically attach the Tango X to the silver pad at the base of the handle. The hold is quite secure (way better then the original Tango). You can bump it and it still holds tight!Â
When I opened my We-Vibe Tango X mini vibe it already had a charge. I was able to try it out right away! It might not seem like a big deal, but I just couldn’t wait any longer to try this one so that was huge for me!Â
It didn’t give me enough warning when the power was out. I went to use it and the light was on and it was dead. It takes a good hour and a half to charge it, so this was disappointing.Â
Controls
The Tango X has simple controls on the handle. Use the (+) to increase the intensity/power and (-) to decrease it. The (~) is used to change the modes. It’s so simple you can use it with your eyes closed.
I personally don’t cycle the modes, I have my favorite and stick with it. When changing the modes I can get frustrated because I find myself cycling through them over and over trying to find my preferred mode again. Maybe they have too many choices that are similar? Sometimes less is more.Â
Using the Tango X
I prefer using the Tango X on my own, it’s quick and gets me off every-time. The hard tip is amazing for firm, constant pressure. I’ve used it with my partner, holding it during foreplay and even sex. Although the vibes feel great, it’s not easy to hold. I would recommend the Bond or Nos as a powerful mini vibe during sex.
My Tango X mini vibe lives in my shower, because it’s waterproof and stays charged for up to 3 months it’s nice to have ready when I am. It’s also my go to for travel because it’s so small.
Cleaning the Tango X
It’s fully waterproof, making it easy to clean. You can use a sex toy cleaner or just regular soap and water like I do. I wash it like I’m washing my hands and let it air dry. Make sure to wash it after each use, and if you haven’t used it in a while clean it before use as well.
Packaging
The Tango X box reminds me of an old iPhone box. It’s very sturdy and at first impression gives the look of luxury. When I opened it up the vibrator is on the top (ready to use) and the silky bag, charger, sample lube and instructions where below. The silky bag is an added bonus that only high-end sex toys come with.Â
The package arrived at my front door in 3 days. It arrived in a plain brown box with no indication of where it came from or what was inside.Â
Luxuriousness
For a simple little toy, it’s pretty luxurious. I don’t love the colour choices and find the appearance a bit bizarre. But the toys works and feels like a high-end, luxurious toy. The power and materials are top notch for sure.Â
The Tango X mini vibe comes in a few We-Vibe gift sets. This is a great way to get it in a more luxurious colour.
What does the Tango X Compare to?
If you’re looking for something similar in terms of size and power, but with a soft tip try the We-Vibe Touch X. It has the same power and luxurious silicone without the plastic tip. It offers a softer touch and feels good in your hand and against your skin. It’s slightly bigger, but will still fit in your purse and pocket.Â
The Hot Octopuss Amo is another similar toy. It has a pronounced, firm silicone tip, that offers precise stimulation. It isn’t quite as powerful, but works really well during partner play as well as on your own.

The We-Vibe Tango X mini vibe is as good or better than the original Tango. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a quality mini-vibe with lots of power. With so many similar products available, this one is unique with the silicone handle and magnetic charger. The price point is on point with similar products, and with the extreme power I would definitely recommend this to a friend.
